EYE EXAM

At the beginning of the exam we will ask you relevant aspects of your family history, your general health status, your symptoms and signs, as well as your ocular history, to establish any increase in the risk factors related to your general health.

Additionally, we will investigate your visual demands related to your occupation and hobbies, your usual environment or work.

Your vision and visual acuity will be measured, your pupil response will be reviewed, and the performance of your eye muscles will be evaluated, if they are coordinated in different directions and at different distances. We will know if they are aligned or if there are deviations from the visual axes.

The total refraction will be done, to determine the presence of optical ametropies such as myopia hyperopia or astigmatism, then we graduate and prescribe the best optical correction in lenses, appropriate to your visual needs, which allows an adequate adaptation, comfort and clarity, this includes the evaluation of the ability to focus closely and at intermediate distances, to ensure the presence or absence of presbyopia.

The ability to perceive colors, as well as stereoscopic or depth vision and contrast sensitivity will be reviewed.
